WHAT TO EXPECT
One of our skilled providers will apply a numbing cream to your skin for about 20 minutes prior to treatment. They will then use an FDA approved microneedling device to perform the treatment. The device features 12-24 micro-needles, which will puncture your skin to stimulate a healing response which generates new collagen and elastin to improve both texture and turgor of the skin. While microneedling is typically performed on the face, it can also be used on your decollete, neck, chest, or other areas of concern.

How many microneedling treatments do I need?
Just like most treatments, microneedling requires a series of sessions to produce optimal results. In most cases, we suggest 2-3 sessions your first year and two sessions every year after that. This also depends on the intensity and depth of the treatments; some people are able to tolerate deeper, intense treatments and others require lighter treatments more often.
Is microneedling painful?
Don’t let the micro-needles scare you! We use a strong topical anesthetic and most patients report that the pain and discomfort associated with microneedling is minimal. We’ll apply a topical numbing cream to your skin and allow this to set in for 20 minutes before the treatment to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
IS THERE DOWNTIME?
Microneedling is a minimally-invasive treatment that comes with a bit of downtime. After your treatment, you may experience redness, mild swelling, and red patches. Fortunately, these side effects will fade away in just a few days so you can return to your normal routine quickly.
