What are the different types of Dermal Fillers?
Below is a chart showing a good example of how one brand, RESTYLANE, has different properties (called rheology) and where each kind is typically used.
How much Dermal Filler will I need?
Below is a general guideline, however, every person has different goals and desires!
Lip Filler: ½-1 Syringe.
Mid-Face: 1 Syringe per side for full effect and ½ Syringe for starting effect.
Cheeks (High cheek bone): 1 Syringe per side is generally recommended. In a few instances, ½ syringe can show a good effect.
Nasolabial Folds/Smile Lines: 1 Full syringe, or ½ Syringe per side. Any less than 1 full syringe will not show a noticeable effect.
Chin Filler: Usually 1 Syringe.
Jawline Contouring: 4-6 Syringes. The jawline ALWAYS requires a large number of syringes. In a few instances, with an ALREADY contoured jawline, 1 syringe per side can be used to enhance the back, sharp angle of the jaw.
How much does Dermal Filler cost?
Each syringe consists of 1ml of filler, and the cost per syringe varies between $525 and $550. For NON-MEMBERS, the price is increased by $50 per syringe.
Are there any side effects of dermal fillers?
Yes. All side effects and risks are covered through a thorough consultation by your provider. The most common side effect that we see is bruising at the site of injection.
