  • BBL Heroic Post care

    WHAT TO EXPECT
Mild redness and swelling (similar to a sunburn) for a few hours, sometimes up to 12 hours. Pigmented spots may darken before flaking off over 1–2 weeks. Do not pick or scratch darkened spots. Body areas may heal more slowly than the face. Most patients can return to normal activities immediately.

    MANAGING DISCOMFORT
Apply a cool compress as needed (do not apply ice directly to skin). Aloe vera gel may help soothe redness. Tylenol may be used if needed. Avoid Advil, Ibuprofen, and Aspirin unless medically necessary. If vascular redness was treated, avoid alcohol, caffeine, and spicy foods for 24 hours.

    SKIN CARE
Wash gently twice daily with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Pat skin dry; do not rub or scrub. Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide for 7 days. Keep skin moisturized with a gentle moisturizer. Avoid using new or irritating skincare products without approval.

    SUN PROTECTION
Wear SPF 30+ mineral sunscreen daily. Wear a hat and protective clothing when outdoors. Avoid direct sun exposure for 14 days.

    ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS
No vigorous exercise, heavy sweating, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, or swimming for 3 days. Avoid shaving or waxing treated areas until healed. Avoid very hot or cold water on treated skin. Wait 2–4 weeks before additional treatments such as laser, microneedling, or facials.

    TREATMENT PLAN
Most patients benefit from a series of 3–5 treatments. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment schedule based on your goals and skin concerns.

  • Moxi laser Post care

    IMPORTANT
For the first 5 days after treatment, stop all regular skincare products and use only the products and instructions provided. If an antiviral was prescribed, continue taking it as directed until the prescription is complete.

    WHAT TO EXPECT
The treated area may feel very warm for the first 12–24 hours after treatment. Redness is normal and may increase over the first few days, with day 3 often being the most intense. Redness can last up to 7 days depending on treatment intensity. Your skin may develop a rough, sandpaper-like texture ("MENDs" or peppering) between days 2–5 before naturally flaking away. Swelling is common during the first few days and may be more noticeable the morning after treatment, especially under the eyes.

    MANAGING DISCOMFORT
Apply a cool compress or mineral water spray as needed for warmth and swelling. Do not apply ice directly to the skin. Sleeping slightly elevated for the first 2–3 nights may help minimize swelling. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, or ice packs may be used as directed for discomfort. Benadryl may help relieve itching but can cause drowsiness.

    SKIN CARE
Beginning the morning after treatment, cleanse twice daily with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. Use only your fingertips and avoid rubbing, scrubbing, cleansing brushes, or exfoliating products. Pat skin dry with a soft towel. Avoid getting shampoo directly on the treated area while showering. Keep skin moisturized and reapply moisturizer whenever skin feels dry.

    SUN PROTECTION
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily beginning the day after treatment. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or protective clothing for 2 months following treatment. Avoid unprotected sun exposure to reduce the risk of blistering, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and hypopigmentation.

    ACTIVITY RESTRICTIONS
Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, and active skincare products for at least 5 days. Do not scratch, rub, or pick at peeling skin or MENDs. Avoid vigorous exercise and excessive sweating until the skin has healed. Do not apply unapproved products such as essential oils or coconut oil. Avoid wearing makeup until peeling is complete.

    TREATMENT PLAN
MOXI™ works best as part of a maintenance program or treatment series. Results continue to improve over several weeks as collagen production increases. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment schedule based on your skin type and goals.
