Nose and between the eyes: The nose is an area of large pores and thick skin that develops over time. This skin is incredibly soft with smaller appearing pores after a Phenol-Croton Oil peel.

Phenol-Croton Oil FAQ

How long does it take to recover?

Recovery happens in two stages:

Phase 1: This phase is the first 14 days which is when the old skin will be sloughing off and fresh skin appears. During this phase you will want to stay home and relax for most of the time, and so we recommend to stock up on books, TV shows and light house projects that you can enjoy doing.

Phase 2: This phase is a 12 week period where the skin will be lightly pink as it finishes its’ regeneration process. During this phase, the skin will be sensitive and you will need to be more careful around sun exposure and use very gentle cleansers, moisturizers and sunscreens.

How do I take care of my skin after a Phenol-croton peel?

We certainly understand that many photos of healing skin appear dramatic. However, we provide you with a routine and all the products needed to take care of your skin during this time that is easy to follow and comfortable for sensitive skin.

Does the phenol-croton peel require cardiac monitoring?

The Phenol-Croton Oil peel is always performed with heart beat monitoring. However, the Phenol-Croton Oil peel is very safe when performed slowly over a longer period of time. In fact, many studies have shown that when the peel is performed over a one hour period or more, there is very little chance of abnormal heart beats.
