Tirzepatide in austin, tx (zepbound)

A personalized approach

When Dr. Turnage or another provider determines a patient is a candidate for Tirzepatide injections as part of their weight loss plan, he will either prescribe Wegovy or compounded Semaglutide/B12/B6. The dose is tailored to the patients needs, and monthly follow-ups ensure a shared, team-based approach to your wellness goals.

What our tirzepatide plan includes

As a new patient you will start your wellness journey with a consultation with Dr. Turnage. At this visit he will take a detailed history and physical and review your initial lab work. If you are a candidate for Tirzepatide in Austin, you and Dr. Turnage will discuss the options prior to the first prescription. If compounded Tirzepatide is ordered, you will return the following week for first dose injections as well as instructions on how to inject at home (you can also come in weekly if you would prefer we do it!). Starting photos will also be taken at this time.Typically a dose is tapered in 4-8 week segments until optimal dosing is reached. Initially follow up visits occur monthly until a stable dose is reached, where typically follow ups occur in 8-12 week intervals.

How does Tirzepatide work?

Tirzepatide works by similar to the naturally occurring hormones GLP-1 and GIP. By activating the GLP-1 and GIP hormone receptors, Tirzepatide will help the body regulate blood sugar levels, decrease cravings, suppress appetite and increase feelings of fullness by slowing down digestion.
