Getting ready to get Botox, Lip Injections or to dissolve stubborn fat with Lipodissolve is easy, there are just a few instructions to keep in mind.
You want to avoid anything that can make bruising worse. The first thing on this list is alcohol-be sure to avoid 24hrs prior.
Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections

You want to make sure to schedule your Dermal Filler or Lipodissolve appointment at least two weeks prior to a big event. If you do get swelling or bruising from the dermal filler, this can take up to a week to resolve.
Lipodissolve generally swells for about 48hrs post-treatment and then gradually tapers down to pre-treatment side by day 10. The real good before-and-after pictures will happen 4-6 weeks after, as well all know good things come to those who wait!
It is important to keep in mind that results from Botulinum Toxin Injections, Dermal Fillers and Lipodissolve gradually come over time and so planning ahead is key!
Tretinoin (Retin-A) is a powerful anti-aging tool. You however want to discontinue this for at least one week prior to your treatment.
If you are taking medications topically or orally for cold sores, or have an active cold sore, you want to make sure and let your provider know right away. Dermal Fillers around the lips can trigger a cold sore exacerbation and we want to make sure and have you on a suppressive medication to give you the best outcome.
